Solutions
“Every problem has a solution. There could, should, and must be a solution for every problem. We should always see a problem as an opportunity for progress, innovation, and invention.” ~ Sajjan George
The Problem
Education: The academic or technical education that is currently available and provided to students from Nursery up to College level covers only subject-wise academics, and does not provide adequate holistic development opportunities for students, nor prepare them to develop and grow into an adult or persons of integrity and responsible citizens.
They are not equipped to see and understand life as a whole, and are not prepared to face realistic and sometime harsh or challenging situations in life, even after they pass out of College.
The Solution
Even from younger age, children need to be taught to live their life in congruence with others around them, be it peers in their class, or other elders around them. They are mostly confined to their own family relationships. But learning to care, share and respect those in their day-to-day interaction circle; to communicate and build relationships in a healthy manner.
At the same time, teaching them to take up responsibilities in a progressive way, in terms of building healthy manners and routines; setting aside time in a consistent way to learn and study, completing their homework, for playing and leisure, and helping parents with household chores and also becoming positive contributors in class and school.
This is also a stage to help understand self-awareness, identify their unique abilities and talents, help them prune and refine it, and how to plan ahead to align these things with their choice of career and profession which they are built for, which they can love and be passionate about, thus enabling them to have not just a successful life, but also a meaningful and purposeful one, to benefit themselves, their family, and the society.
As they grow from Primary levels to Secondary levels and beyond in their Academics, it also becomes a crucial part of their life, when they should also learn about life as a whole covering all 360 degree around them, including but not limited to healthy competitions, etiquettes, ethics and morality, building healthy relationships and learn to handle peer pressures, time management, collaborations, critical thinking, personal finance, leadership skills, and many more that makes them ready for a successful and meaningful career, professional and family life ahead.
